In a surprising collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also adds the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma."
